Airports Authority Officers' Association (India)
is a recognised Multi-Cadre Association in Airports Authority of India (AAI). The Association is affiliated to "National Confederation of Officer Associations (NCOA) - a National Confederation representing over a hundred and fifty thousand officers of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and Registered under the Trade Union Act 1926.
The membership comprises of dedicated Executives in various wings of AAI engaged in providing Communication, Navigation and Surveillance Facilities; Security Equipments; Fire and Rescue as also the Engineering Services; all part of a continuous chain ensuring safe air travel to the travelling public. AAOA (I) also comprises of members from the Personnel, Finance and other disciplines in AAI. The executives of AAI comprising AAOA(I) are a talented lot capable of meeting all challenges of today's aviation scenario in India.
In its earlier forms, the Association was known as "Civil Aviation Department Gazetted Officers' Association" during Civil Aviation Department days and as "National Airports Authority Officers' Association" during the National Airports Authority days. The members of the Association provide aviation facilities at far flung places in most inaccessible places apart from the international and domestic airports around the country.
The main objective of the Association has been to secure maximum cooperation between the members and the management so that the efficiency of AAI is optimised along with well being of its members.
The present leadership of the Association is a dynamic leadership keeping a vigilant eye on all developments relating to aviation in the country. |
